Our team has experience both in fundamental equity understanding as well as technical understanding of the markets enabling us to make the right decisions for our investors. Our experience runs deep, and all the sponsors have more than 20 years of experience in the Indian financial space.
PRABHAT AWASTHI
Has more than 30 years of experience in Indian markets. He started as a credit analyst and then graduated to equity analysis. He has run award winning teams in Indian equity research space across various organisations over his multi year career. As a market strategist, he has advised funds over the years on their market strategy and economic macros. More importantly, he led an equity start up, Brics Securities, which was bought over by Lehman Brothers within 3 years of its founding. Before embarking on this journey of Alturas, he was the country Head of Nomura which entailed running the entire franchise including fixed income, equities, and investment banking. During his leadership, Nomura’s India franchise saw unprecedented growth across verticals. The ability to run multiple successful business alongside market experience is a unique skill set which, we believe, gives us an edge over traditional fund managers.
SAMIR SHETH
Has more than 20 years of experience in the Indian Financial Markets, with roles spanning from private wealth management to institutional equities. In his most recent role, he headed the Institutional Equities business for Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India) Private Limited. He has been associated with Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India) Private Limited for nearly 13 Years i.e. 2010 to 2023. As the Managing Director heading the Institutional Equities, Mr. Sheth oversaw & dealt with several global and local institutions including asset management companies. His expertise lies in advising large, sophisticated institutional investors on the Indian equity markets, with a sharp focus on risk management. On the Educational Front, Mr. Samir holds a Master of Business Administration Degree (with a major in Finance) from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad (Batch of 2005 - 2006).
CHIRAG PAREKH
Has 20 years of experience in the Indian Capital Markets. He began his career at PC Doshi Stock Broking Private Limited after completing his graduation. In Financial Year 2005, Mr. Parekh established Stock Planet Private Limited, successfully running Proprietary investment strategies. In 2013, he joined Prarambh Securities Private Limited (a SEBI registered Stock Broker), where he was heading Equity Investments & Trading Strategy. Chirag brings with him a strong expertise on managing investments with appropriate risk controls.
